As ever, they're just gorgeous. Have snagged a couple of Kenny and Sam this time, and Kelly. Just out of interest, I've looked through all your others (= much ♥). Have you ever done one of Mr Winters (David Collings), or Sam/Kenny (or Sam and Kenny in the same icon, anyway)?

(Erm. Yes, I am strange.)

But I love the icons so very much! It's amazing to have this richness of PG iconage. :-D

Actually, I don't think I've done any of Mr Winters or Kenny and Sam. Strange that. And I ship Kenny/Sam so much. I'll have to make some.

Thankyou for your comment :). It's always great to another PG fan :D.

Also, just looked at your profile. Doctor Who, Carry Ons, Agatha Christie and Jane Austen. Do you mind if I friend you?

:-) I'll wait in hope, then.

I'm on a rewatch at the moment and also doing Press Gang for the [livejournal.com profile] 50ficlets challenge.

Of course not. :-) And I've already warned you that I'm strange, so that won't come as a shock.

I'm rewatching the series now, finding any scenes Sam and Kenny were in.

I'm also about to venture over to 50ficlets to read some of your entries :).

Thanks :).

At the risk of creating a random conversation in the comments, who's your favourite doctor?

:-)

Well, it's your LJ, you can be as off-topic as you like. I like all of the Doctors very much, putting them in order causes me pain, but Seven is my Doctor - he was the first I watched, when I was young. After that, Two and the rest all move about, probably depending on who I've just watched. How about you?

Plus, on topic - I'm curious. The writing on the icons - does it actually say something, or is it just more of a pattern?

My first Doctor was Nine, but my absolute favourite is Five, followed by Eleven, even though he's had something like one scene and a whole bunch of trailers. He was created by Steven Moffat, so it's almost a shoe-in that he's going to be awesome. I like Ten as well. And Three. But honestly, after watching The Five Doctors, I can't help but think they're all pretty much awesome. Six, on the other hand wasn't my favourite, he'd be higher up if he didn't have such odd tastes in companions. And by companions I mean Mel Bush, and only Mel Bush. I liked Peri most of the time.

And on topic again, the writing is part of a texture, so it's there for show, I have absolutely no idea what it says.

Aw, I'm glad you like Five. He seems to have suddenly gone out of favour, and I like him a lot. :-) (I love Tegan very much, too.)

Poor Six. Poor Mel! Have you heard any of his Big Finish audios? Not only are they great stories, but he has a wonderful companion, Dr Evelyn Smythe, a late-middle-aged Historian who keeps him in his place. Evelyn is great.

I can't wait for the next series, for pretty much the same reason. :-)

Thanks - I just wondered!

I LOVED Tegan. She was awesome.

Well, I don't exactly HATE Six. My favourite serial is The Mark of the Rani, which is a Sixth Doctor story. He's pretty good in that. I'd probably like Mel if she didn't *scream* so much. Bonnie Langford is a great actress, so I'm sure she'd have been a favourite of mine.

The only Big Finish audios I've heard are of the Sarah Jane Smith series. As much as I loved TSJA, I wish the Sarah Jane spin-off had been more like that. I like the sound of Evelyn though, so I may have to check out a couple of the Sixth Doctors adventures.

:-D Yes, agreed.

No, but it has to be said, his era was hit by a lot of problems, partly just cos it was the 1980s and everything was tacky. And poor Bonnie, yes. She's in some of the audios with hi, too, and better than on TV.

I've never listened to the Sarah Jane audios, but got hooked on Six and Eight's. (Six is excellent on audio - I love The One Doctor with Bonnie and DW and the Pirates with Evelyn most of all; her first adventure is The Marian Conspiracy if you do want to find it. Jubilee is also excellent - it's the basis for the Ninth Doctor ep Dalek but actually very different.) Evelyn is awesome; she's intelligent and sensible, and carries knitting about with her so she doesn't waste the time they spend in cells. :-)

I did say I was hopelessly fond of all eras DW, pretty much, didn't I? ;-)

[identity profile] haa-hsm-fan.livejournal.com 2010-03-28 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I might check that out :).

Also, a Doctor Who companion who carries knitting around. That is too awesome for words :D!

The Sarah Jane series is awesome. She deals with aliens occasionally, but mostly it's human threats, such as murders and terrorism. I mean, she stops the Tube from being blown up! If that's not awesome, I don't know what is!

Yeah, you did :P.
