And the story goes on....
Apr. 10th, 2012 02:43 pmSeries five was some of the hardest things on television I've ever had to sit through, seeing Elisabeth Sladen so full of life and more beautiful than ever, knowing that this would be it, that Sarah Jane would be around no more. It was all leading up to the end of an iconic companion, and I almost didn't watch. It was still too raw, but I did it. I made the effort, and I'm so glad I did. Once again, the stories were top notch, and everyone was still as fantastic as normal. Mina Anwar, Ace Bhatti, Jocelyn Jee Esien, Floella Benjamin... the unsung heroes of The Sarah Jane Adventures who could hold their own up against Lis Sladen. I'm glad we had five extra series featuring Sarah Jane. As Katy Manning so rightly said, she was the quintessential Who girl, and I'm so grateful for RTD and BBC Wales for allowing a new generation to fall in love.
